Event Description

Celebrate Filipino heritage, culture, and community at Kingston’s 2nd Annual Philippine Independence Day Civic Celebration on June 20, 2026 at Confederation Park.

Hosted by the Philippine Integrated Community of Kingston Ontario (PIC-KO), this free family-friendly civic festival is part of Filipino Heritage Month in Canada and commemorates the 128th Philippine Independence Day.

Following the success of last year’s celebration which welcomed over 2,000 attendees throughout the day, this year’s event is expected to grow even bigger with over 30 food, cultural, artisan, and community vendors participating.

Festival highlights include:
• Himig ng Kalayaan Singing Competition
• Kakanin Showdown Filipino Food Competition
• Little Miss Philippines Kingston 2026
• Live cultural dance and musical performances
• Filipino food, arts, and artisan vendors
• Traditional Filipino games and family activities
• Civic ceremony welcoming local dignitaries and representatives from the Embassy of the Philippines in Canada

This celebration promotes tourism, multiculturalism, cultural exchange, and civic engagement while showcasing the vibrant Filipino-Canadian community and its growing contribution to Kingston’s diverse cultural landscape.

Everyone is welcome to join this vibrant downtown celebration of culture, music, food, and community spirit.
