About Kingston Live

Kingston Live is an independent, volunteer-run, community media organization covering local and live music in Kingston, Ontario.

We exist to help advance the narrative of our city's musical landscape, and to realize Kingston's potential as a premier music destination: Canada’s First Capital of Music.

Our aim is to expose Kingston's citizens and visitors to more live music opportunities, and to provide a platform for local acts and artists, music festivals and venues to reach an audience of local and live music lovers.

Our media footprint includes the monthly Kingston Live podcast, the Kingston Live website, a subscription e-newsletter, community broadcast radio, and a presence on key social networks.

A Member of the Canadian Live Music Association

Kingston Live has been a member of the Canadian Live Music Association since 2019. The CLMA works nationally to entrench live music’s economic, cultural, and social value and to create the conditions for concerts to thrive, from coast to coast to coast. Since 2014, the CLMA has developed and adapted the live music industry in Canada through advocacy and business development, offering live music workers opportunities to connect with each other, to grow their professional skills and businesses, and access discounts for operational expenses and programming.
