Christian Howse is a singer-songwriter from Newfoundland, Canada, making waves in the East Coast music scene with his heartfelt storytelling and masterful musicianship. Renowned for his distinctive fingerstyle guitar work and evocative lyricism, Christian continues to evolve as both an artist and a social observer. With the release of his fifth album Liminal, Christian’s raw talent and dedication to his craft shine through in every track. The album marks a bold step forward from his earlier work, offering an edgier, more introspective sound that solidifies his voice in contemporary folk.

Building on the success of Liminal, Christian released his sixth album Break Through in September 2025. The record was introduced through a series of compelling singles including “Marionette,” “The Gardener,” and “Aurora Borealis.” Each song reveals a new layer of artistic growth and emotional depth, culminating in what many consider his most dynamic and ambitious project to date. Break Through showcases a mature sound that blends poetic lyricism with bold, innovative production. Christian’s artistry has been recognized with numerous accolades, including a 2018 nomination for Canadian Folk Music Young Performer of the Year, three 2019 Music NL nominations for Rising Star, Male Artist of the Year, and Folk/Roots Artist of the Year, and a 2025 MusicNL nomination for his sync placement on Hudson & Rex. With each release, Christian continues to captivate audiences and strengthen his place in Canada’s folk tradition.
