Event Description

This Friday, March 6 at 8:15 PM, join us to celebrate the release of “Devil Goes Blind” by Kevin Bowers and Holy Wow, and “The Grace of Eloquence”, a Mike Guiney album released on Wolfe Island Records. This is going to be a fun-filled, packed event so come early for dinner at The Dawson and stay for the show!

Holy Wow’s dreamy Canadiana is fashioned from America’s psychedelic coast and has some dark overtones from weird and swampy Louisiana bayous. When the Devil Goes Blind is our latest and greatest made with Wolfe Island Records and produced by Chris Brown. It is diverse and cohesive. Its got pop in it somewhere dangling amongst bewilderment, joy, danger, fear, and surreal politics. It has just enough candy sheen to cover its own muddy tracks. Kevin of Holy Wow is a frequent artist at Hotel Wolfe Island, also playing in The China Cat Riders and Sedan Delivery!

Mike Guiney is a published essayist, poet, book/music critic, and multi award-winning lyricist who hails from Newfoundland and now lives in Gananoque. Mike will take the stage with a seasoned group of musicians including, Chris Brown, Pete Bowers, Scott Dwyre, Andrew McLaughlin and Sarah McDermott. Check out The Grace of Eloquence- Mike’s debut album , now out on Wolfe Island Records.
