Matinee concert with Daniel Lapp, world-renowned singer/ multi-instrumentalist/ composer/ teacher performing as a duo with award-winning producer, composer and multi-instrumentalist, and former student of Lapp’s, Quinn Bachand.
Daniel’s newest project Woodbox Records, a label dedicated to the preservation and promotion of BC fiddle music. Last spring, Daniel released his first fiddle album in over 20 years, Hardwood Sessions Vol. 1 on Woodbox Records, packed with original tunes, and features Quinn.
Daniel Lapp has a passion for collecting and archiving original BC fiddle tunes and has now collected 3000 tunes by 300 composers, with tunes dating back to the mid 1800’s. He is the current Artistic Director of the School of Contemporary Music at the Victoria Conservatory of Music.
Ever the bold musical voyageur, Quinn Bachand has invested in his love of swing jazz. After his 4-year stint of extensive touring and studies, Quinn graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2018, and currently resides in Montreal.
