David Vest and his band celebrate the life and music of the late, great Antoine "Fats" Domino, New Orleans piano legend. His debut single, "The Fat Man," is usually thought to be the first rock and roll record. Recorded in 1949, it was the first of his 37 hits, most of which sound as hip today as they did the day they were made. As Elvis Presley told us, "Everybody knows the king of rock and roll is Fats Domino."
David Vest is a six-time winner of the Maple Blues Award for Piano Player of The Year. His red hot band includes Ryan Oliver on sax, Tom Bowler on guitar and vocals, Ryan Tandy on bass, and Damian Graham on drums.
