Event Description
The Toronto-based band, Start Run Radio, is cooking up a stew of Funk, Jazz, and Soul, paying homage to masters such as Dr. Lonnie Smith and The Meters, while incorporating modern flavors reminiscent of New Orleans veterans Galactic and Stanton Moore.
Organist Alan Zemaitis convened guitarist Evan Desaulnier and drummer Josh Park in the same room, producing an instant connection. After several sessions where they explored beloved tunes and workshopped new original material, they realized their sound deserved to be shared with the public.

ABOUT JAWK
Jawk’s art is intended to amuse and intrigue the spectator; it is accessible, yet mysterious to all. Usually found outside the confines of a gallery or museum, it is installed in different locales worldwide, thanks to a small network of equally street-wise collaborators. Jawk’s artwork is always inspired by real people and events.
