"How to Sing the Blues"
The blues is an evolving genre that developed from roughly 1920 to 1950, the characteristics of which have pervaded many styles of music from Jazz, R and B, Rock and Roll, Classic Rock, Country, Gospel, etc. This workshop will teach you the particular aesthetics of blues singing/playing and teach you various styles and their chord progressions. This is a hands-on course that combines background information/demonstration with practice singing/playing. You'll be able to try all the blues styles that we discuss. If you play, please bring your guitars. If you don't, I'll play for you.
