Event Description

Noedy Hechavarria Duharte comes from Santiago de Cuba, a city Cubans affectionately call “la tierra caliente” (the warm land). He began studying classical saxophone at the age of 11 years old at the Lauro Fuentes music school in Santiago de Cuba. His first jobs as a saxophonist was at the age of 15 years old playing during the carnival parties in the same city, at 17 years old Noedy moved to Havana where he began to work in popular dance orchestras and continued his studies at the professional school of music Albaro Barriel, in 2008 Noedy moved to Montreal Canada and completed a Jazz Music Performance bachelor program at the School of Music at the University of Sherbrooke, Quebec.
