Event Description

Montreal's Hallarsen (a.k.a. Ben Nesrallah) performs original folk, bluegrass and country music on the patio at Hotel Wolfe Island, as he continues his 4 week summer tour of Ontario and Québec! This is also an opportunity to pick up a pre-release copy of his new album Alone, Together.

No cover! Tips encouraged.
All the historical spirit of old-time traditional music resonates within this talented, fun act…There are lots of indirect descendants [of this music], and Nesrallah is a terrific example of that.

About Hallarsen


Hallarsen (Ben Nesrallah) is a folk singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist steeped in the traditions of old-time, bluegrass and country music. After releasing four albums as a founding member of The Noisy Locomotive, his first solo album "The River", as well as touring folk festivals and venues throughout Eastern Canada, Nesrallah ran away with the circus as a composer and live musician. Working with some of the world's most celebrated circus companies (Cirque Éloize, Flip Fabrique, The 7 Fingers), he has performed nearly 500 shows across 13 different countries, in front of over 200,000 people, including his current touring show "Blizzard". But Nesrallah never forgot his roots.

This fall, Hallarsen will release "Alone, Together", a collection of 11 original songs and instrumentals in the stringband style, that encompasses the gamut of emotions and hardships brought on by the pandemic–music that everyone can find a piece of themselves in.
