FEATURING COLLABORATIVE & INDIVIDUAL WORKS FROM GISA MAYER & BRANDY SATURLEY
This exhibition includes collaborative works from the Mountain Forms Collective. Two Canadian painters, one from Victoria, British Columbia and one from Calgary, Alberta. Rocky Mountain peaks on the Continental divide and paintings from each artists' catalogue.
This is the first time the two painters have presented their collaborative works to the public, in a joint exhibition.
In 2017 this collaboration began. Two Canadian artists; one from Calgary, Alberta and one from Victoria, BC. Painting mountain forms on the great continental divide, the mountains on the Alberta/BC border. Each painting is shipped back and fourth across the border, until complete. Each painting rendered in brushstrokes from each artist. Each painting a collaborative effort, creating a new language, expressing a combined love of the Canadian Rockies. Beyond the borders of the paintings, and beyond the borders of self-isolation. Moving us beyond the borders of our current global challenges, and bringing us together, over art. ~ Sincerely, Mountain Forms Collective
