Event Description
Yusuf Saadi's writing has appeared or is forthcoming in The Malahat Review, Vallum, Brick, Best Canadian Poetry, Grain, CV2, and other journals. His debut chapbook won the Vallum Chapbook Award, and he also won The Malahat Review's 2016 Far Horizons Poetry Award. He holds an MA in English from the University of Victoria.
Aidan Chafe is a poet, teacher and husband. During the summer he tires out his jack russell terrier at the dog park and rereads Nietzche. His poetry has appeared in CV2, The Capilano Review, Event, The Maynard and PRISM international. His debut collection of poems Short Histories of Lightcame out with McGill-Queen's University Press earlier this year.
The Planet Earth Poetry reading series is a launching pad for the energies of writers and poets established and not. The evening begins at 7:30 with an open mic, followed by a featured reader(s). Planet Earth Poetry is located at Hillside Coffee and Tea, 1633 Hillside Ave (across from Bolen Books). Between 7 and 7:15, put your name in the hat to read at open mic.
