Event Description
At the Victoria Bicycle Music Festival our mission is to build community while offering a vision of a welcoming, do-it-yourself future. We promote cycling because it is a fun, accessible, practical and sustainable form of transportation and we prioritize underrepresented voices in the independent performers that we support.
2017 marked the first year of the Bicycle Music Festival in Victoria. Brought to Vancouver Island by the founder of the Toronto Bicycle Music Festival and inspired by the San Francisco Bicycle Music Festival, this free community event features live performances by local musicians and a sound system that is powered by bikes!
The 2018 festival will take place in Topaz Park (1 to 3 pm) and Stadacona Park (4 to 6 pm). The event is free and open to all, but please consider bringing some cash as we'll be "passing the helmet" for the musicians during each set. You can also contribute by hopping on one of our generator bikes and helping to power the music!
