Event Description
Trumpeter/composer Vince Mai has appeared on hundreds of recordings for TV, feature films, commercials, and albums. Artists he's shared the stage or recording studio with include – Sarah McLaughlin, Michael Buble, The Powder Blues, Tom Jones, David Clayton Thomas, Natalie Cole, Eddie Daniels, Buddy Miles, Robben Ford, Long John Baldry, Danilo Perez,and Sheldon Reynolds of Earth Wind & Fire.
Vince marks the CD and online release of his sixth album with music he composed for the 2015 Canadian fIlm "REHEARSAL" with a special live performance. The film is making appearances around the world at select film festivals. The score is strongly rooted in the bop and post bop eras of Miles Davis, Nat Adderley, Bill Evans, Wes Montgomery, and Freddie Hubbard.
Joining Vince will be most of the hard swinging musicians featured on the recording - Miles Black piano, Dave Robbins drums, Miles Hill bass, and Daryl Jahnke guitar.
