Grammy nominee Kate McGarry and guitarist Keith Ganz make their Canadian debut for this concert; the 3rd in the JOY OF JAZZ CONCERTS series. This is a "do not miss" event for Vancouver jazz fans! Kate McGarry and Keith Ganz have been receiving rave reviews of their live duo recording "Genevieve & Ferdinand" and for their live concerts.
The musical chemistry that these two incredible artists share is both inspiring and revealing. This is music making without glam or glitz. It’s all about the soul, the story, the improvisations. It’s a feast for the senses and certainly the type of music that embraces elements of jazz, folk, blues and pop genres. Kate’s pure and passionate voice and artistic sensibility bring depth and meaning to each of the songs regardless of their origin. Keith, who happens to be Kate’s husband as well; plays with sensitivity and with intuition as the two of them sculpt their musical magic.
