Matthew Barber, Juno Award nominated singer songwriter, returns with his 8th album Big Romance produced by Gary Louris of The Jayhawks. Big Romance features guest appearances by Matthew’s sister Jill Barber, Michelle McAdorey, and his backing band Dean Stone (Sarah Harmer) and Julian Brown (Feist). Big Romance can equally be understood as a varied collection of songs that, while broadly indebted to the tradition of what happened when folk music got a backbeat and rock rolled out of the sock-hop and into the concert halls, also represent the latest layer in a singular sound that Barber has been refining over 7 full-length al...bums. If you really want to break it down, this record has soul-searching ballads, foot-stomping rockers, some groovy mid-tempo tunes and hooks-a-plenty.

Canadian songstress Jenn Grant has released four albums to her name to date and garnered critical acclaim from all corners of the world. She has performed across North America, Europe and Australia and appeared at numerous festivals including Primavera Sound, SXSW and The Big Sound. A Juno nominee, Polaris Prize listed and ECMA winner, Grant is embarking on a new adventure with her forthcoming EP Clairvoyant. This EP features the best of Grant, debuting songs from AquaAlta, (Grant’s undersea dream pop side project) a Leonard Cohen cover, reworked visions and new releases. Clairvoyant also sees Grant joining forces once again with Buck 65.
Jenn Grant has an eclectic stage presence and warm, engaging demeanour. She will welcome you like you’re gathering in a living room, but her iridescent voice and boundless performance will leave you breathless.
