Event Description
After 10 years of living back on his native Vancouver Island Phil Dwyer will be moving to New Brunswick in August to pursue a law degree. This will be Phil’s last Victoria appearance for the foreseeable future and he will be joined by his frequent collaborator Ken Lister (bass) and drummer Alan Jones who will making the trip up from Portland Oregon. Don’t miss this opportunity to catch Phil before he moves east!!
Opening for the trio will be the Phil Dwyer Adult Jazz Intensive Ensemble. This 8 piece group is comprised of some of the top amateur and semi-pro musicians from Vancouver, Calgary and Vancouver Island. Their performance is called “Miles Through The Ages” which will take a musical journey through the repertoire of different Miles Davis groups from the 50s and 60
