Event Description

. Friday, March 11th IMU presents DEAD PAPER SPARROWS, BANG BANG, YOU'RE DEAD!, The BROADWAY BULLIES & SLOW WAVE SAGA @ The Shark Club, 180 West Georgia Street . Doors 8pm . Purchase advance tickets directly via the bands & online @ http://www.imuproductions.com/tix

DEAD PAPER SPARROWS - Long time friends David Isbister (Vocals, Mass Undergoe) and Steffyn Schimann (Vocals/Guitar, Bullets Over Beauty) have created a "Vancouver Rock Supergroup" by adding Mass Undergoe alum Cory Wilson, Brian Badd on Drums (The Irreverents, Unlabeled) and finally, relatively famed producer Evan Morgan (Incura, Bullets Over Beauty, and so on) to play delicious keys for this thematic and theatrical project! http://www.myspace.com/DeadPaperSparrows

BANG BANG YOU'RE DEAD! - This Vancouver-based pop punk band that features a potent mix of punk rock, clever lyrics, catchy hooks and a good measure of aggression. Their original songs highlight their unique arrangement of having both male and female lead vocals that explode in your face like 1000 zombies disco dancing with a hint of lavender! http://www.myspace.com/bangbangyouredeadonline

SLOW WAVE SAGA is a three-piece alternative rock/metal act formed by long-time musical collaborators who set out to create a new project that would represent their dynamic and shifting musical interests and drive to grow and create. Inspired by their dark and often dreamlike sounds, the name Slow Wave Saga is a reference to the stage of sleep in which people experience vivid dreams and nightmares. http://www.myspace.com/slowwavesaga

The BROADWAY BULLIES is a nascent rock'n'roll band, up-and-coming and aiming to take Vancouver's music scene in a hail of hard rock. Crafting driving, guitar-based, austerely luminous progressions with verbose, rhythmic lyrics reflecting the trials and tribulations of the bands riotous and exuberant frontman, The Broadway Bullies exhibit musical and esthetic features unseen in years since the rock greats aged past their expiration dates. http://www.myspace.com/thebroadwaybullies
