The world-renowned Low-Brow Road Show is putting on their annual Halloween show in their own backyard at the world famous Penthouse night club on Saturday, Oct 31st. Behold as Big John Bates & The Voodoo Dollz transform the Penthouse into a blues-infused cabaret, complete with sexy burlesque, bands and much more! BIG JOHN BATES & The VOODOO DOLLZ are throwing a scorching hotrod burlesque rock n roll blues party full of non-stop voodoo action with the help of the Voodoo Dollz Burlesque dancers! Touring North America and Europe over the past year in support of their latest CD "Take Your Medicine", BJB and the Dollz recently brought their "Carn-Evil and Sexy Side Show" to crowds of 10,000+ at festivals in Germany and hundreds of sold-out shows across North America. They're armed with a new bag full of tricks as well as burlesque performers recruited from Sweet Soul, Cross'd Lovers and Kitty Nights, all wrapped up and presented to you by Vancouver's reigning voodoo queen, Little Miss Risk. The CARNIVAL BAND is a community music project with ten years of history, based out of Commercial Drive's Britannia Community Centre. With a floating membership of around 30 people playing brass, woodwinds, accordions, percussion and stringed instruments, their monstrous repertoire includes samba, calypso, swing, afrobeat, jazz, funk, disco and traditional music from around the globe. They've played around the globe including Shanghai and a spontaneous performance in London, England that lead to the internet phenomenon of "Traffic Wardens Need Love", based around a YouTube video of the Carnival Band serenading traffic wardens. http://www.myspace.com/thecarnivalband

WALTZ DARLING have entertained local audiences for years with their crazy musical journeys. Sustained by their passion for all styles of music, their Eastern European roots have always been woven into their songs. Atila is Hungarian while his cousin Robert hails from just across the Serbian border. Their disagreements are the stuff of legend and high comedy.
