Ryan Dsouza is a Vancouver-based singer-songwriter, music producer, and independent artist whose work blends modern pop, reggae rhythms, nostalgic ’80s energy, and soul. Originally from Mumbai, India, Ryan’s music reflects honest storytelling inspired by personal moments, emotional growth, and meaningful human connections.Performing since age 13, Ryan began as a lead vocalist in local bands before pursuing a successful corporate career. Music, however, remained central to his identity. After relocating to Vancouver in 2018, Ryan reignited his passion by joining the band The Chickpeas and contributing to their debut album Mojito (2023). This milestone launched his solo journey as an independent artist.
A self-taught musician, Ryan writes, produces, and performs all elements of his songs. His live shows offer an intimate mix of originals and reimagined covers that highlight his unique vocal style and genre-fluid approach. Through emotionally resonant performances, he invites listeners to reflect, connect, and feel.
In 2025, Ryan launched "Behind the Vibe", a personal video series sharing the inspiration, creative process, and deeper meaning behind each original track. This candid behind-the-scenes look gives fans insight into his songwriting, reinforcing his mission to connect authentically with audiences.
Inspired by legends like George Michael, The Beatles, and Stevie Wonder—as well as contemporary singer-songwriters—Ryan crafts songs born from feelings, stories, and moments drawn from everyday life and travel in addition to collaborating with other song writers globally.
Beyond his own music, Ryan supports the indie music community through RD Music Collective, an initiative dedicated to helping independent artists gain playlist traction and exposure.
