Dave Tessier - Drummer | Bassist | Music Enthusiast | Recording Engineer
Dave Tessier has spent over two decades immersed in the world of music, with a particular passion for drums and a growing love for other instruments. Starting his musical journey at the age of 12, he quickly fell in love with rhythm, becoming the heartbeat behind several bands in the Kingston and Ontario music scene.
In the early 2000s, Dave was a founding member and the drummer for Attison, a Screamo band that became a local staple in Kingston. With a raw energy and a collection of around a dozen original tracks, Attison played many shows and built a dedicated following. Despite the band's dissolution as life pulled everyone in different directions, those formative years shaped his musical path.
In the mid-2000s, he joined Rozea Haven as the second drummer. A metal band that hit stages across Ontario, Rozea Haven gained momentum before continuing their journey with other musicians after Dave departed in the late 2000s.
In 2022, Dave returned to his roots as a drummer and founding member of Crown of Antlers, a metal band that made waves in Kingston. The band's first EP, Crown of Antlers, was released in April 2023, followed by their second EP, Born, released in February 2025. As both recording engineer and producer for both EPs, Dave played a key role in shaping their distinct sound. After the release of Born, he decided to leave the band to pursue other musical paths.
Beyond drumming, Dave has always had an ear for other instruments, from guitar and bass to piano. He also has a keen interest in studio recording, a facet of music that continues to inspire him. Music, in all its forms, has always been his greatest passion.
In 2023, he took on a new role as a bassist for Waiting on Wayne, a cover band based in the Napanee area. Specializing in hits from the '90s and 2000s, the band brings a fresh take on nostalgic classics, and this is where Dave currently channels his musical energy.
With a career spanning different genres and roles, Dave Tessier continues to live and breathe music, eager to explore new sounds and projects along the way.
