Led by local greats Kevin Elaschuk trumpet/flugelhorn and Dave Say tenor sax, this quintet plays originals that range from free jazz to more structured forms, from the subtle and eclectic to hard-driving grooves. Influenced by Ornette Coleman, Booker Little, Eric Dolphy, and Charles Mingus, Elaschuk and Say formed this group in 1996. With André Lachance guitar, Stan Taylor drums, Paul Rushka bass.
