About

Backstreet

circa 80s
Backstreet began with Pete Jordan drums/vox, Gord Seginowich guitar, of Spectrum High school met Darren Day bass, Bill Johnson guitar from Stelly's High School (1979). Darren and Bill had been playing together for a few years prior. Group cover lots Rolling Stones, Lynard Skynard, Eagles, and utilized two lead guitarists well playing Rock and Roll. Lots of Basement parties went down, and eventually The group added a front-man Tom. The band played an opening spot for Agent at St Joes Hall for a large crowd of kids, and became quite popular for various hall parties and backyard parties. We really played a lot. Bill Johnson left the band, and was replaced by Doug Chafley. Band began playing bars once we were all 19. Went of to add Tony Vox/keys as front-man and continued for some time into the 80s as popular cover band in local bars.
