Mexico Cabron roars from the North of the Mexican Republic, specifically from the State of Sonora, the cradle of the Mexican Revolution!Hector Celaya (guitars and growls) and Rafael Valencia (drums) form the band after playing for 15 years in various bands, both separately and together. In the summer of 2008 they reunite to do what they mostly enjoy: Metal!
The name of the band MEXICO CABRON (where a Cabron, among many meanings, is a reckless powerful clever guys in Mexican slang) is chosen looking for something that reflects and conveys the band’s concept: beyond political divisions and conscious of their Mexican cultura Hector and Rafael state that “We are all Mexico, We are all Cabrones!”
The musical concept is Heavy Metal, well defined towards distorted guitars, aggressive vocals and agile and fast metal beats in the drums. The lyrics are focused around one idea: to identify the roots and the strengths of the Mexican, while at the same time giving it a positive tone. This is achieved through topics that invite realization, progress and make good use of all the resources that humans have available in this brave land. Without prejudice or excuses and without blaming nothing or no one: Play with the cards that were dealt by Life.
Mexico Cabron debuts with their first independent production in October 2008 titled “Poder Mexicano” (Mexican Power). The album was recorded in two days with Hector covering the bass lines and obtaining road support with another bass player for live shows.
The band quickly makes it up into well delivered presentations in the North of Mexico, performing in Hermosillo, Obregon, Nogales, Mexicali, Mexico City, and Veracruz among many others.
Mexico Cabron now embarks in a metal fuelled trip to every possible corner representing the energy of Mexican Metal with their music… TODOS SOMOS MEXICO...TODOS SOMOS CABRONES!!!
