Pink Family Leaves a Lasting Legacy to Chemainus Theatre Festival

Chemainus Theatre Festival celebrates a love story that brings together a love of life with a love of art. Alf and Yvonne Pink generously donated to Chemainus Theatre Festival their private collection of beautiful serigraphs by internationally acclaimed BC artist Arthur Vickers.

It was Yvonne Pink's love of art that influenced her husband Alf to appreciate the beauty of Vancouver Island and invest in works by Arthur Vickers. When it was time to downsize the family home, they had a difficult decision...what to do with this collection and how to share their passion for art. They decided to invest in the community by donating 28 pieces of their collection to Chemainus Theatre Festival. Ten pieces have been placed into the Theatre's online auction for sale to the public. This generous gift by the Pink Family will greatly help Chemainus Theatre Festival continue its passion to create an exceptional theatre experience that explores truth and redemption, inspires hope, and nourishes the human spirit.
