When I was just a young lad, I was often found by the river nose deep in a Jack Kerouac book. While everyone else in high school was talking about university and what career paths they were choosing. I had the wild idea,, that the only possible way I could know my true self, was by spending my last dollars on the other side of the world. Only then when was I was broke, would the story begin! I accomplished that dream. I’ll never forget the day, on Cuba street in Wellington NZ, I was 18 years old. And I spent my last few dollars on a cuppa tea.
