Rock.it Boy Presents Doug And The Slugs

Event Description

Since forming in Vancouver in 1977, Doug and the Slugs have won over audiences with catchy songs, humour and a live show that turns a concert into a party. Their breakthrough hit “Too Bad” opened the door to a string of Canadian favourites, including “Making It Work,” “Day by Day” and “Tomcat Prowl.”

The band’s original frontman, singer and songwriter Doug Bennett, gave the Slugs their unmistakable personality. Following his death in 2004, the group returned to the stage to keep his music alive. Today, vocalist Ted Okos joins the band in bringing those songs to audiences across Canada.

Victoria fans can expect the hits they know, played with the energy and good humour that made Doug and the Slugs one of British Columbia’s most enduring bands. Get ready to sing along and make it work all over again.
