Event Description
It's that time of year! S.K. Robot pays tribute to the dearly departed Guided by Voices with its 4th annual "Guided by Robots" GBV-aoke extravaganza. The evening will begin with a set of GBV classics and obscurities with Kevin Perley handling the Robert Pollard sound-a-like vocalist duties. Then it's up to all the Glad Girls and Robot Boys to channel their inner Robert Pollards and show the Anza faithful that Rock 'n Roll lives, not on the stages of cold cavernous arenas, but in the hearts of the inebriated in a sweaty rec-room-like club. Sing your favourite Guided by Voices song with S.K. Robot as the backing band! Do a leg kick! Twirl a mic! Drink lots of Bud!
Once again, Guided by Robots is a fundraiser for the Vancouver Food Bank. Instead of a cover charge we are asking for a donation. Last year we raised over $600.00 for needy families in Vancouver.
