Event Description
Lisa Bozikovic’s music draws us into ever changing landscapes with a deeply felt understanding of longing – the way it surges through us. She finds melody in wandering shorelines, night canopies, firefly corridors and the depths of loss. Her songwriting explores introspective narratives with evocative turns of phrase, lush orchestration and quietly ornate moments- a whimsical Moog solo here, a riot of strings there.
She has toured both her critically acclaimed records Lost August (2008) and This is How We Swim (2012) across Canada, playing festivals such as Lawnya Vawnya, Sappyfest, and Festival Folk du Quebec. As a supporting musician (keys/vocals), she has recorded with Richard Laviolette, Pete Moss, Abigail Lapell, and Daniel Romano. Bozikovic feels lucky to be a part of an amazing creative community in Prince Edward County, where she is thrilled to be working on new songs with friends!
