Parking
Street parking is free on Canada Day. There are multiple options for parking, all located less than a 10-minute walk away from City Hall, including surface lots, parking garages and on-street parking.
Weather
This event happens rain or shine. The event will only be cancelled if it becomes unsafe to be outside. Some activities may need to stop temporarily if it is raining but will start again when it is safe to do so.
Road closure notifications
Please note that Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) wishes to advise the public that the LaSalle Causeway will be fully closed to vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians on Wednesday, July 1 from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Additional closures:
Market St. will be closed from June 30 at 8 a.m. to July 2 at 2 a.m.
Ontario St. will be closed from Clarence St. to Brock St. on July 1 from 7 a.m. to July 2 at 2 a.m.
King St. will be closed from Clarence St. to Brock St. on July 1 from 6-11 p.m.
Accessibility information
Confederation Park and Springer Market Square are fully accessible. Some activities will take place on the grass.
Accessible restrooms are available in City Hall, the Visitor Information Centre, in addition to accessible portable restrooms.
Portable restrooms are non-gendered. Additional non-gendered restrooms are available in City Hall and the Visitor Information Centre.
Water bowls will be available for service dogs at the Special Events Office information booth.
