Nick Schofield is a Canadian musician, producer and ambassador of ambient music based in Gatineau, Quebec. He has been dubbed a “dazzling electronic artist” by Aquarium Drunkard and “synth maven” by Constellation Records. Nick’s music features elements of minimalism, contemporary-classical, jazz and dance, while always being uplifted by his signature hopeful ambient essence. Nick Schofield just released his fourth solo album Blue Hour on Backward Music label, described by Bandcamp Daily as “soothing ambient jazz where spiraling trumpet swirls in billowing clouds of synth”. In concert, Nick has performed at MUTEK in Montreal, The Lot Radio in New York City, SXSW in Austin and the Getty Museum in Los Angeles, opening for acclaimed artists like Angel Olsen, Hauschka and Colin Stetson. Nick has a BFA in Electroacoustics from Concordia University and works as the technical director with artist-run centre SAW and Debaser’s Pique festival in Ottawa.
Liam Cole is a drummer and songwriter from Kingston, Ontario. A remarkably deep and lyrical percussionist, Liam studied jazz performance at Humber College before becoming vibrantly active in the Ontario music community, performing live and on records with Little Kid, Michael Cloud Duguay, Dorothea Paas, Poolblood, HIGHS, Chris Brown & Kate Fenner, and many more.
