Event Description

The concert will raise funds for Ryan Cho, a University of Victoria student who was recently chosen to participate in an HIV/AIDS research internship in Botswana.

The concert will be headlined by the Anonymous by Choice Vocal Sextet, an a capella vocal ensemble with an active performing schedule throughout Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland. Anonymous By Choice was recently featured at the Coastal Sound International Choral Festival, and has shared the stage with such award-winning musicians as Hugh Fraser and Sal Ferreras. The group will perform works from a variety of genres, including doo-wop, folksong and vocal jazz.

The fundraiser will also mark the debut performance of the Hard Coral Vocal Ensemble, a mixed voice choir completely run by, and consisting, of students at the University of Victoria. The event will also include the Q5 Brass Quintet, and an original piano composition by Cho.

Admission is by donation, with a suggested donation of $5 to $10.
