Born and raised in Guelph ON, Emma Worley has been writing songs since she was a child. However, she shied away from the limelight in adulthood and blossomed as a visual artist. Worley spent many years dedicated to her sculpture/installation career, garnering attention for her work at various high-profile institutions. Despite her burgeoning success in the visual-arts world, Worley found herself compulsively drawn towards creating the material that would become her debut, Sentimentalist (Victory Pool). This record showcases her maturity as a writer, despite it being her first public release of music. She considers songwriting her first artistic voice, and sees her emergent musical career is a return to her roots. Her songwriting is heartfelt, genuine and clever and her voice as soothing as it is powerful. Worley is currently finishing a new record slated for release Fall 2025.
