Join us Saturday, May 3 for the 17th annual HomeGrown Live Music Festival.
All-access wristbands are $10 and will be available at the door of each venue on the day of the festival. As always, proceeds go to The Joe Chithalen Memorial Musical Instrument Lending Library.
12:00 PM - John Somerville
John Somerville: Lived here fourty years and then some, Lovely city, love the people and the place. I write serious and funny songs, and have fun with it.
12:30 PM - Mellow Lily
Mellow Lily is a singer-songwriter and a gifted multi-instrumentalist from the Kingston area.
She has opened for Grammy award winners, and CCMA award winners, and in 2023 she signed a distribution deal with 5 time Juno award winner, Michael Hanson. Don’t miss Mellow Lily!
1:00 PM - Five.X.Five
Matej Novak (aka Five.X.Five) has no idea what he’s doing. Yet somehow he finds himself living out his musical dreams 30 years after first picking up a guitar. It doesn’t hurt that he has the best collaborators and cheerleaders helping him do it. Soon he also hopes to have the best fans.
1:30 PM - Pierre Laframboise
Rasmanpierre is a Kingston Area local musician who plays covers and original music as a solo artist & with fellow local area musicians.
2:00 PM - Rick Melanson
Rick Melanson has been playing and recording music for more than 35yrs. His influences include Paul Simon, the Beatles, the Smiths, Steely Dan, and many others. Rick has performed in the Kingston area since the 2000s. He released a collection of songs in 2016. Rick is a multi-instrumentalist.
2:30 PM - Pamela White
Pamela White is an Australian-born singer-songwriter, blending pop sensibilities with acoustic guitar and the desire to explore a full range of sonic possibilities. Her songs are catchy and tell the story of a woman who is just trying to figure out how she keeps getting into these situations.

3:30 PM - Roger Marshall
Roger is a singer-songwriter born and raised in Kingston. After a life time of creating access to music for youth in his roles as Youth Worker and Teacher he is concentrating on his own songbook. 2020 Album Uninked Tattoos. 2024 Album Portraits. Working on new recordings with Randy Maillet. 7 X HGL.
4:00 PM - Tyler Brett Forkes
Tyler Brett Forkes is a Kingston, Ontario-based singer / songwriter whose original compositions range from poignant storytelling to light hearted blues. He performs regularly around the area and has opened for Juno Award-winning songwriters in the GTA. Influenced by John Prine and Jimmy Buffett.
4:30 PM - Jonny Kirwan
Moving to Kingston in 2024. Jonny is a songwriter born & bred in Tyrone, Ireland. Born into a musical family, Jonny has been writing and performing music from an early age and before moving to Canada had toured up & down the UK & Ireland performing his blend of Alternative Folk, Irish & Country.
5:00 PM - Sean Davidson
Sean Davidson is an indie pop/folk artist. While studying at Queen’s, he ran the music program at the Boys and Girls Club in Kingston. Over the past two years, he’s released music every month, growing his audience to over 60,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and surpassing 2 million streams.
5:30 PM - The Diaries
Explore the enchanting folk world of The Diaries, lifelong friends Anna Robertson Ritter and Lia Adams. Their 20-year musical synergy creates dreamy, folk-infused harmonies—authentic, timeless, and driven by an undeniable passion for their craft.
6:00 PM - Chris Morris
Chris Morris is a casually charismatic performer with a penchant for tall tales and a near exhaustive repertoire of songs to charm audiences of all temperaments. He's carved out a reputation as a popular, in-demand singer/songwriter/musician throughout Eastern Ontario.
6:30 PM - John Torres
John Torres has performed as a sideman for various local bands and vocalists and as a solo act for the past 25 years. Steeped in blues, jazz, rock and soul.
