Event Description
Join us at Chalmers United Church in downtown Kingston, Ontario on Wednesday evenings from April 2nd to June 18th for a rejuvenating dose of community and song. Whether you’re a seasoned songbird or someone who only ever sings in the shower, you are so so welcome! ♥
It’s no secret that life can be tough, and sometimes we need a space to breathe and recharge. Singing together helps us do that. It’s a way to care for ourselves and, in turn, show up for the world with a little more kindness and resilience.
Science backs this up too: group singing can boost your mood, ease anxiety, and even strengthen your immune system. But beyond the research, there’s something simple and powerful about sharing voices in a room—it reminds us we’re not alone. So bring yourself, just as you are, and let’s sing together.
Each 1.5-hour gathering is an opportunity to learn 5 to 8 songs, from playful riffs to deeply moving melodies. Many of the songs we sing are about nature, wellness, hope, love, and our very human struggles. Steph and Paul, our amazing facilitators, will guide us with a simple repeat-after-me teaching style, so the songs are easy to pick up—usually in just 10 to 20 minutes. It's never long before we're weaving our voices together in sweet layers and harmonies.
