Event Description

Rush is a Canadian treasure. There will never be another band like them. They had a meteoric rise to success from 1974 to 1979 by proving that they were a great arena prog rock band, gathering fans with epic fantasy stories. In 1979 they proved that they could transcend arenas and touched the hearts of the entire planet with meaningful songs that spoke to social justice and the greater meanings of life.

That transformation was very important to Rush. From 1980 forward, they decided and put their extraordinary talents toward musical and personal growth, and they reached a worldwide audience with a greater social message. They put fantasy aside and showed us their vision of the world, with tales of caution and splendour.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to see a Rush presentation that was a performance of those songs as they were recorded? Not 3 person “live show” impersonators pretending to be Rush and performing with tracks, but a collection of great musicians that could provide the meticulous detail that the Rush as artists put into recording those meaningful songs. Not a dry presentation that merely presents the songs or an album without content, but an engaging night of entertainment.

Have you wondered what it might be like to hear the stories behind the songs and the transformation? Stories told by a Toronto radio personality that was actually involved in the Rush story, a person that discussed and previewed the entire Moving Pictures album with Rush in the studio, before it was released to the world.

“Radio Rush – The Moving Pictures Story” performs the songs and tells the stories that inspired the Moving Pictures album, and the songs after Moving Pictures that gathered worldwide recognition through radio and video. This is truly a one of a kind celebration of the Canada’s greatest rock band as you’ve never seen or heard before.

If you are a Rush fan, this show is made for you. If you aren’t a Rush fan, you will be after you’ve seen Radio Rush.
