Event Description
Over four Sundays from February 9 through April 13, Flower Art Fusions explores the art of flowers and flowers in art from the garden to the fresco, manuscript, altar, canvas, and vase. Beginning with an historical overview of flowers in Western art, talks will focus on flowers in Canadian art, floral colour theory in Impressionism and beyond, and flowers in Japanese painting.
Featuring Dr. Betsy Tumasonis, February 9; The Honourable Patricia Bovey, February 23; Christen Geall, March 2; in the Spencer Room of the AGGV; and Dr. Ignacio Adriasola (via Zoom), April 13. Moderator, arts writer Liam Lacey.
