Event Description

Strap in for a smutty, slutty, and unapologetic storytelling show about faith, sex, and sin.

Come with me across the country during my decade of being a devout Christian and a huge slut. Discover the truth behind the rumours whispered in church, from steamy make outs at Christian summer camp to taboo relationships at Bible College during my missionary studies – but not the fun kind. Every sexy sinful secret will be revealed as I take you on an erotic journey filled with guilt and pleasure.

Trigger Warnings: Sexual Content, Coarse Language, Discussions of Religious Trauma

Erik Karklins (he/they) - Writer and Performer

Erik is an interdisciplinary artist who works within dance, theatre, and multimedia arts. They are the co-founder of The Lighter Touch Art Collective in Ottawa, and he is currently working on a project that explores their identity as a queer and neurodivergent artist: an interactive multimedia installation piece that focuses on the exploration of time through a queer and neurodivergent lens. He will be in both Kingston and Ottawa over the summer performing his solo storytelling show Christian Slut where he weaves together confessions of his experience dating throughout his religious past. The rest of the summer will be spent touring a new Fringe show with The Lighter Touch in Victoria and Vancouver.

Sarah Ivanco (she/they) – Stage Manager

Sarah is a multidisciplinary artist with a focus on theatre, dance, and visual arts. They are also a producer, creator, and performer with award-winning dance theatre collective Trip the Light Theatre Collective and is the editor and curator of self-published zine, “Zine R.A.C.K”. Sarah emphasizes that she is a community-taught artist and works almost exclusively on devised art projects. Sarah is excited to spend this summer performing/stage managing Fringe shows in Montreal, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Kingston, Victoria, and Vancouver.
