Event Description
Sunday May 12, doors 7, noise 7:30. Tickets for $15 NOTAFLOF at doors. Masks and earplugs as always are free and available. Experimental music at its fullest. A swathe of fearless pursuits, from bloodletting, to harsh wall noise, to freak folk. A night of otherworldly experiences. Incredibly grateful to Sainerine (BC!!) for including Kingston on their tape release tour, and bringing M in tow with them. If you missed out on the Reaching Needles vs. Bombay Painco set this is your means to make amends.
Sainerine (@sainerine) combines operatic vocals, experimental synth sound and the ritual of self-mortification carried out with an industrial staple gun. Alongside their zine manifestos “Bloodletting” and “Mutilation Autonomy”, Sainerine is a study of the socio-political interpretations of blood, bleeding, and ultimately, body autonomy.
THRTDSPLY (@thrtdsply) is experimental bedroom noise inspired by unregulated emotional catharsis. M, with a background in various genres of metal and punk has settled into the harsh soundscape of noise with their creative take, showcasing the glaring industrial shards of harsh noise with frigid synth drones.
Nausia (@flaming.telepaths) will be providing sun bleached, warped, and heady sounds. Textured, rough, and rugged. A homecoming of sorts for them.
Michael Broadhead (@michaeluprightbass) exploring realms of freak folk, drone, and double bass. Uncharted territories for the Kingston staple.
