Advent to Christmas: Candlelight readings and music

Event Description

St. James’ Anglican Church presents “Advent to Christmas: a candlelight service of readings and music.” Free or by donation.

A selection of seasonal hymns will be sung, and the choir will sing anthems by Andre Thomas and John Joubert. The service symbolizes the journey from Advent to Christmas, from the Old Testament to the New, from darkness to light. The readings and music will explore the themes of creation and re-creation in the context of ancient prophecies, the birth of Christ, and visions for the future.

Following the service there will be a hot apple cider reception.
