The Café Scientifique series is an informal series of talks given in a relaxed setting such as a café. These talks are designed to engage the public in learning about recent research in science. Given by experts in the field, these talks provide an opportunity to stimulate discussion around some of the most exciting topics in modern science.

Title of this week's talk: Title: Everything you have ever wanted to know about the Big Bang but were afraid to ask.
Description: Join us to take a tour of the cosmos with astronomy professor Jon Willis. In this accessible and prop-driven presentation we will learn some of the answers to the biggest questions our there: how old is the universe, how big is it and what is it made of? More importantly Prof Willis will also focus on what we don’t know about the universe and whether there exist questions that are too big to answer.
