Event Description
We journey through life often unaware of the uniqueness, beauty and surprises that unfold around us. With this in mind, painters Wayne Peterson and Kirsten Sheffield present “A Chance Glance”, a visual representation of those fleeting moments that catch our eye.
Every day there are rare occasions when something catches our attention, compels us to look… this is that CHANCE GLANCE – that moment when the world opens up to us and we see something special embedded in the ordinary. It happens to all of us. Artists hope for such a moment, but it can’t be manufactured, it just happens… and Wayne and Kirsten are excited to have an opportunity to share these Chance Glances in time through their paintings.
With his crisp, clear use of oils, Wayne Peterson reflects things that he is touched by as he expresses his love of Nature and the world at large. Kirsten Sheffield, through her Westcoast and travel imagery, manipulates wax and dye, merging realism and the fluid nature of water in her Painted Batiks. They both invite and welcome you to their show, a “Chance” for that “Glance” to linger in your mind, and possibly on your wall!
