The Blue Hearts Trio The Blue Hearts are a new duo formed in 2016, however, Big Hank Lionhart and The Blue Hearts Trio Mark "Westcoast" Comerford have been band members for over 39 years in Uncle Wiggly's Hot Shoes Blues Band. As well, Mark and Hank are members of the Victoria Music Hall of Fame. Westcoast's true blues style of guitar playing along with his backing vocals are the perfect complement to Big Hank's soulful voice. They compose their own tunes and have recorded 4 CD's with Uncle Wiggly's Hot Shoes Blues Band. As The Blue Hearts they have a debut CD “Pumpin Out the Blues”. The Blue Hearts are proud to introduce James Young on stand up bass as our third member of the group to now become the Blue Hearts Trio. James has quickly become the pulse of the band with his rock solid style on the doghouse bass. Representing the Fraser Valley Blues Society in the Solo/Duo category at the prestigious International Blues Challenge in Memphis Tennessee in January 2017, they were only one of two Canadian duos to advance to the semi-finals out of over 100 Solo/Duo Acts from all over the world. Quite a feat given the caliber of competition. They wowed crowds in Memphis in every showcase and round of competition and they will WOW you with their authentic brand of Blues.
