Event Description
Lisa Shepherd and Kristi Bridgeman were already well established in their respective art careers when they discovered by chance that they were related through a common relative, Suzette (Chalifoux) Swift, a revered Métis bead artist. That discovery sparked a rich collaboration of Shepherd’s beadwork and Bridgman’s painting incorporated into a series of 30” square shadow box pieces, each with its own inspired story.
FORGET-ME-NOT, MÉTIS ROSE: The Far West is the artists’ third collaborative exhibition, and specifically references the symbols and stories of the Métis history in Western Canada.
Our gallery is always free to the public but donations are always appreciated.
