A solo exhibition of artwork by Alannah MacPhail

“Inside out: with the inner surface turned outward.” As an art therapist I recognize the immense power of the imagination in healing and health. As a visual artist I find myself digging deep to “hear” and see what a painting is telling me. This entails working with many layers of paint and media each adding to the richness of colour, shape, texture, and narrative. Often the image I choose to continue developing, only emerges from within the painting… Inside, out.
