Join us August 13, 2017 for an epic freaking milestone! It has been an amazing 10 years and there are times where the Descent Team can’t believe it’s been this long. Descent is your favorite place to hit the dance floor and make new friends. We have always worked hard to cultivate a sense of community and contribute to our scene. We could not have done this without you!
This August we will celebrate our time with the amazing music you love, dazzling drink specials, and fabulous prizes. To show our appreciation to our dedicated scene, we will be giving away prizes at the top of every hour including some special custom Descent swag that will be given away to the first 15 people who come through the door! Show up early and stay late to celebrate and increase your chances of winning some of our awesome swag!

10th Anniversary Dress Code

Vancouver Descent boasts an exclusively nonexistent dress code. “Why?” you ask. Well, it’s simple: We want everyone who comes to our events to be comfortable. New people entering the scene, or just checking it out, may not have figured out their style. So you may be wondering what is acceptable. Jeans and a t-shirt? No problem. Full out Goth? Totally AWESOME. Punk kid? Rock god? Sk8tr girl? Great! Sweet! Wicked! Feel like going all out in some jaw dropping ensemble? You’re totally welcome to. Come how you want to but we are strongly encouraging everyone to dress up in their favourite Gothic style.

We want to bloody celebrate and you know you do too! Descent is the best place to get your dance on! Descent plays more of the music you request than any other event in Vancouver. You can always get your requests in early by contacting us or submitting your requests on the Facebook event page. You can also get your requests in the night of the event. So there’s no excuse not to get your tension out on the dance floor. Don’t make excuses, don’t stay home…. Make the Descent!
