With three well-received albums out and an international touring schedule to boot, Barbra Lica is a fast-rising star on the Canadian music scene. 2016’s remarkable I’m Still Learning, her latest album and debut on the Justin Time label, earned her a 2017 Juno nomination for “Vocal Jazz Album of the Year.” Although primarily a jazz singer with a passion for the classics, Lica includes some tasty pop elements in her performance, particularly on her originals. Her quintet includes Marc Rogers (bass), Joel Visentin (piano/accordian), Will Fisher (drums), and Tom Fleming (guitar).
