Three artists new to the Gage Gallery Collective come together in "Uncommon Sense”. Liz Wells bases her work on personal family events that deal with concepts of memory and issues of female representation. Suggesting a feeling or a glimpsed memory of an image leaves room for the viewer to make their own interpretation. Sharing female reflections and ideology is artist Janis Blyth. Her soulful paintings are rich in colour and statement with a whimsical approach. The art expresses the vitality and spirit of people interacting with one another and the temptations that surround them.
Jill Fitz Hirschbold is a photographer who can sense the layers and depth of colour that exist in unusual but common objects. Her images reflect the energy of what can be seen beyond our eyes.
The senses are stimulated, challenged and provoked throughout the work of these diverse artists.
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
