BURNING HEARTS SOUL CLUB
Vancouver’s best soul dance party THE BURNING HEARTS SOUL CLUB celebrates its one year anniversary on August 12th at The Astoria!
That's right, we first launched this night last August and it has been a year of amazing nights shared with all the dancers and soul music lovers who have come and shared the dance floor with us.
Given this is our one year anniversary we are hoping to do this up big. Both Keith and Dave have new tracks to lay down this month and they will also be hitting you with all those Northern Soul, Funk and R&B favorites you've come to know from us here at BHSC.
As always this night is going to be about the MUSIC, that is, the best pop music ever created... SOUL! Expect to hear resident DJs Dave Mac and Keith McCafferty play selections from this glorious genre in all its variants from down and dirty early 60s R&B to hard hitting 70s funk to the Motown/Stax classics you know and love to that northern soul beat that is perfect for moving your feet. Of course, at BHSC these tunes are always heard the way god intended; off of all original vinyl @ 45 RPM and we GUARANTEE you will hear new and different tunes each month.
So come on down to the Astoria on Friday August 12th and dance and sing along to classic tracks you know and love and surely you will leave having danced to some new favourites as well.
