Event Description
The NUMBER ONE request we get at Blue Frog is “WHEN IS KAL DAVID COMING BACK?” On September 9th and 10th, Kal David and Miss Lauri Bono will be back to blow the doors off of Blue Frog with their fiery style of Blues and R&B.
Kal has played guitar with many of the greats including John Mayall, The Fabulous Rhinestones, Johnny Rivers and Peter Cetera (Chicago). He replaced Mick Taylor on lead guitar and featured vocalist in the John Mayall Bluesbreakers before embarking his successful solo career.
After a stint with Bette Midler as a Harlette, Miss Lauri Bono joined Blues great Etta James. It was there that she met Kal, who was also touring extensively with Etta James. In the studio or on tour, it was evident in their work with Etta James, or Louisiana’s own, Johnny Rivers, Kal on guitar and Miss Lauri and Kal on vocals.
